NESLL Boys Spring League – Town Select Division

Recognizing the changing landscape of New England lacrosse, we have determined that we would best serve the lacrosse community by re-molding the NESLL Spring model.   There is a strong movement in Massachusetts towards town based teams or “Town Select” teams.  NESLL has had a very successful Spring League over the past 8 years and it the inclusion of the town programs into NESLL league structure will be a great opportunity for all parties.           

New England Select Lacrosse League – “Select Division”

• Members of the “Select Division” will be comprised of “Town Select” teams from around the region as well as regional “NESLL – Select” teams. 
• The division will be divided into “A” and “B” levels based on program size and strength.

NESLL will provide:

• All referee scheduling and payments.
• League scheduling, communication, results and standings.
• Play-off Day facility, referees, etc.
• Coaching Clinics and Player Clinics.

Town Programs will provide:

• All practice fields, coaches, uniforms, misc. equipment, etc.
• Game fields

League Details

        Age Groups – “Select Division”

• U15’s (7^th & 8^th Grade)
• U13’s (5^th & 6^th Grade)
• U11’s (3^rd & 4^th Grade)  – This will be a modified division.

        League play will begin the last weekend of March and will run for 8 weeks.

• Games will be played on Saturdays with the possibility of some weeknight games, if necessary.
• NO games will be played on Sundays as we will continue to support MBYLL.
• Games will be 4 x 12 minute, stop-time periods.
• Two referees will be used for all games.
• NCAA rules will be used (some modifications will be made).
• Play-off Day will be held on May 21^st.

NESLL Play-off Day

The New England Select League Play-off Tournament will provide the teams an opportunity to vie for championship of their division.  Every team in the league will be guaranteed two games that day.  As always this will prove to be a festive day by gathering all of the top players from the region at one site for the tournament.  We will have vendors, special guests, manufacturers and more….
